Moving from Office 2003 to Office 2007
Moving from Office 2003 to Office 2007 can be a challenge, but all presents an opportunity to work more efficiently. Office 2007 has many new features that will help each user work more efficiently once they are comfortable with Office 2007. Before that happens, our goal is to have users make a smooth transition from Office 2003 to 2007. The tip for this week is a reminder about some very useful tools that are on the UW Colleges and UW Extension training web site focusing on the "Command Reference Guides."
Remember, if you have ideas for the Computing Tip of the Week, please send them to Pat Fellows.
Reminder - The new UW Colleges/UW Extension training web site is located at: http://www.uwex.uwc.edu/it/instruct-support/training.cfm . There users will find links to many useful Office 2007 training documents, videos, and web sites. We encourage you to check out this site first when you have questions about Office 2007.
Interactive: Office 2003 to Office 2007 Command Reference Guides
The "Command Reference Guides" available on the Microsoft Office Online web site are designed to assist users in finding their favorite Office 2003 commands in Office 2007. These are interactive video guides where the user selects a tool from Office 2003 on the screen and it shows where the tool is in Office 2007. Here are the links to the Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint guides:
Outlook 2003 to Outlook 2007 command reference guide
