10th Annual National Outreach Scholarship Conference
Faculty members, university leaders, community members and students are invited to attend the 10th Annual National Outreach Scholarship Conference. The conference, themed Pathways of Engagement: Connecting Civic Purpose to Learning and Research – Locally and Globally, will take place Sept. 28-30, 2009, on the University of Georgia campus in Athens, Ga.

Sponsors for the event include the UW-Extension, Michigan State University, North Carolina State University, Ohio State University, Pennsylvania State University, Purdue University, University of Alabama, University of Georgia and University of Kentucky.

Reduced rates for registration are available through Sept. 1, 2009.

2009-10 Multicultural Awareness Workshops
Registration for 2009-10 Multicultural Awareness Workshops is now open. Eight, two-day workshops will be held at various locations throughout the state so that all employees have an opportunity to participate. Each workshop is facilitated by a team of peer facilitators.

The Multicultural Awareness Workshops offer an opportunity to learn how to better meet the needs of culturally diverse learners and how to create an inclusive environment for the increasingly multicultural UW Colleges and UW-Extension work force.
