PRISM 9.0 Upgrade

UW Colleges is in the process of upgrading the PRISM Student Information System to version 9. The upgrade is required as vendor support for the current version will lapse on December 31, 2009. In addition, support for the interfaces to other mission critical applications will lapse on July 31, 2009. These interfaces include:

  • D2L (Desire to Learn)
  • D2L e-grading
  • Electronics Application
  • CDR
  • MAAD (Multiple Admissions Application Database)

To ensure the system was upgraded prior to a lapse in support, the upgrade is scheduled to begin June 26, 2009 and will be available to all users by July 6, 2009.

A Project Team comprised of UW Colleges PRISM Team, Developers and select campus representative was assembled and has been working together over the past six months to layout a roadmap for the upgrade and to ensure all the features, functionality and customizations of the system are stable as we move forward.
