As a non-traditional student starting school later in life, I took my secondary education very seriously. My discerning mind led me to choose UW-Marathon County. The class size, highly qualified instructors, and academic resources like TRIO are absolutely stellar, especially considering the low cost of tuition. The school set me up with the skills to succeed academically but also professionally. There were so many opportunities outside of coursework as well. I enjoyed being director of the Multicultural Resource Center, serving as a Non-Traditional Student Senator, and being a member of a host of other clubs and committees. Ultimately through my experiences there, I had the foundation to succeed, and as a result I graduated with honors from UW-Madison. Whether you plan to get an associates or move on from there, I cannot even begin to express how incredible of a school UWMC is to help you on that journey.
