At UW-Marathon County, I was given opportunities to become a leader. It was here that I started a volunteer club on campus and joined the Student Government Association. Being given quality instruction from professors Jill Stukenberg and Doug Hosler helped me to start out on the right foot when it came to my studies. They also challenged me to think (no limits!) and it was at UW-Marathon County that I switched my major. I now have a master's degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology from UW-La Crosse and am a research and teaching assistant in the department of Exercise and Sport Science at UW-La Crosse. Now that I am the one up in front of class, I make sure to approach every lecture with energy and a positive attitude just as my professors did for me at UW-Marathon County. UWMC gave me the tools to push myself and to approach learning with enthusiasm. I am proud to be an alum of UWMC!
