I started at UW-Rock County at age 16 because I wasn't ready to move away from my family and was afraid of all the things we hear about college before we start. Things like, "These classes are brutal!" or "High school doesn't prepare you!" and "You'll never sleep again!" I started with a mentality of "C's get degrees." Because of my caring professors and the ability to get one-on-one time, I went from just hoping I'd pass to being on the Dean's List with Highest Honors for 4 consecutive semesters and the president of the student government association at UW-Rock County.
