Our Institutions

Among our nation’s major public institutions of higher education, UW Colleges and UW-Extension are two of the only organizations of their kind to share a chancellor, centralized leadership team and administrative staff. The operational efficiencies provided by our unique structure provide significant cost savings.

But there are other important benefits as well. Working together has brought focus to our institutional priorities and improved our strategies for achieving a healthy, vibrant Wisconsin with ready access to the university’s knowledge, resources and research.

UW Colleges

Serving more than 14,000 degree-seeking students and more nontraditional students than any other institution in the system, UW Colleges comprises four regions, each headed by a single Regional Executive Officer who guides the work of Associate Deans on each of our 14 campuses.
